Congratulations on your new role with United Airlines.

Class Agenda
Your First fifteen (15) days
Basic Indoc (BI): This is a nine (9) day ground school inclusive of two (2) days off.
Initial Fleet Training (IFT): This is a two (2) day ground school.
The two courses typically run consecutively with a two day break between.
Typical class times: 0800 -1730, start and end times vary daily.
Your Fleet Training schedule will be provided during Basic Indoc after equipment bidding.
Check-in Instructions
Day 1: please plan to arrive no later than 0750 in the F Building lobby.
The DoubleTree van will run continuously between the FTC and the hotel from 0645 to 0745.
A representative will greet you at the entrance to collect your original documents and escort you to your first classroom.
Bring your ORIGINAL REQUIRED PILOT DOCUMENTS:

Airmen's license,

First Class Medical,

FCC radio permit,

Passport, and
-
A 2nd form of photo ID with you to class.
Do not carry copies for training or flying assignments.
Anyone who does not have all their documents on Day 1 Basic Indoc will be rescheduled to a later class, no exceptions.
Notes about your Required Pilot Documents:
Passports:

Pilots are required to have a current passport with at least 6 months of validity remaining. Your passport MUST be valid for a minimum of six months beyond your Basic Indoc start date.

Entry Requirements: Your passport must also not have any restrictions that prevent you from flying anywhere United Airlines flies or will fly in the future. Non-US citizen pilots are responsible for researching and meeting all entry (e.g. visa) requirements for their respective citizenship.
Airmen's License:

English Proficient: Your ATP must have multiengine-class rating and 'English Proficient' printed on the license. If you do not have 'English Proficient' visit www.faa.gov to apply for a new license.

Nationality/Citizenship, Gender, or Name Changes: It is your responsibility to ensure your current nationality/citizenship, gender, and/or name are current in the FAA Airmen Registry Database. A new type rating application WILL NOT suffice to update nationality/citizenship, gender, or a name change. To obtain a new airmen certificate that reflects a nationality/citizenship, gender, or name change, you must appear at an FAA Flight Standards District Office (FSDO) for positive identification. First Class Medical:

ALL pilots operating at United Airlines must possess a First Class Medical. Lapsing to Class 2 is not allowed. Individuals over 40 years old must renew their Medical every six months.
Restricted Radio Operator Permit:

A Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit or higher-grade FCC radio operator

license is required for all operations. If you are unable to locate your FCC license, you must apply for a new one on-line at: http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls/index.html
FTC Training Dress Code
Day 1: Your interview suit or other appropriate business attire.
In general, be neat, clean, well-groomed and show good taste.
Make sure what you have on is respectful of everyone.
